OPS0332 – Advanced Paramedic Practitioner - Devon

Devon Doctors Ltd are recruiting for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Advanced Paramedic for our Operational Directorate. The post holder will be a key member of our Paramedic Service in Devon.

About the position: With direct line management by Head of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals, they would be responsible for visiting patients in their homes; should they not be able to travel to a Treatment Centre. They will contribute towards a ‘one team culture’ throughout the Organisation and promoting a patient centred ethos of “Putting Patients First”.

Responsibilities will include prescribing treatment if required and an element of telephone based work at our ‘CAS’. They would also offer telephone advice to other paramedics who are supporting the service.

This Advanced Paramedic Practitioner would operate across Devon, and the hours will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. The hours per week offered for this position are flexible depending upon experience and location.

Who are we looking for?

• Minimum 5 years post registration experience • Non-Medical prescribing • Full UK Driving licence • Registered Paramedic Qualification (HCPC) • Involvement and leadership in teaching and mentoring learners • Effective communicator able to communicate complex and highly sensitive information (oral and written) • Ability to work within a team, be part of and to create a positive culture and atmosphere for patients and staff • Ability to work autonomously

Desirable

• MSC in Advanced Practice • Understanding of local service and referral pathways • Evidence of post registration CPD to include advanced clinical skills
